PLEASE NOTE : The appeal process will begin on December 1, 2007 for the 2008 season.

There is a full understanding and acknowledgement by ASA that some players have been placed into a particular classification on the Player List based solely on their association with a particular team.  The initial effort was to simply put all names from a particular team's roster into a classification based on that team, without further judgment of any individual name.  This may have included managers, coaches, sponsors, bench players or any other such name included on a team's roster.

This was the only practical manner in which to handle the creation of the list.  To attempt to make up-front value judgments of each and every individual player would not have been possible.

The onus is now placed on any player who feels he is undeserving of his current rating on the Player List to file an appeal.

Two convenient methods are being made available for players to file such appeals.

The preferred method is to complete and submit your appeal electronically.

If you've made it to this web page, then you should probably be able to submit your appeal via this method. It involves filling out the appeal form online and clicking the "submit" button.  It is quick, easy and avoids the task of faxing a paper document to ASA.  It also makes it possible in some cases, to handle an appeal more expeditiously.

It is understood that some individuals may be unable to file electronically for whatever reasons.  A manual alternative is provided for these people.  It involves printing off the form provided on this website, completing it on paper and faxing it to the appropriate parties.

Adjudication of Appeals

Adjudication of Player List Appeals will be handled jointly by ASA and it's Classification Committee.
